FusionGIS^TM stores all geographic and attribute data in a single source: the Spatial Database.  Graphic drivers are used to create a map display “on the fly” in whatever graphics system you use, currently either AutoCAD or ArcGIS.

The benefits of a spatial database are:

Data integrity, all data is kept in one place;

Data distribution, graphics are generated on client machines, based on database queries and transfers from the server, enabling reduced bandwidth requirements;

Spatial queries, viewing system-wide spatial information becomes a database query rather than a graphical exercise, enabling much faster response;

Reporting, simplified tabular view of system-wide spatial information;
